Terms of use
Terms of use for this website.
These terms govern this website only. Any engagement with Old Soldier is governed by its own written agreement, which controls if the two ever differ.
What this site is
A description of Old Soldier's services. Nothing on it is an offer, a solicitation to buy or sell a security or a business, a recommendation about any transaction, or valuation, legal, accounting or tax advice. Old Soldier does not represent sellers, does not raise capital, does not take custody of funds or securities, and does not bind any party to anything.
The sample deal room
The interactive sample uses a fictional sector, fictional companies and fictional figures, built to show how the software works. Nothing in it is a real company, a real conversation or a real transaction, and no part of it may be relied on for any purpose.
Figures and forward statements
Cadence figures such as the five-day prospect list describe an operating standard, not a promise about outcomes. Outreach statistics describe past results on Old Soldier's own mandates over the period stated and are not a prediction of what any future search will produce. Third-party figures are cited to their source, which you should consult yourself before relying on it.
Fees shown here
Fee structures and starting points on this site are current as of the date shown and are illustrative. The fee that applies to any engagement is only the one in the signed agreement.
Ownership
The text, writing, design, layout, code, illustrations and data structures on this site belong to Old Soldier LLC and are protected by copyright. Old Soldier is a trademark of Old Soldier LLC. Nothing on this site grants you a license to any of it, and any right not given to you here is kept.
The public pages
Read them, print them, link to them, quote them with attribution, and send them to a colleague. Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to read and cite them; that is what they are published for. What you may not do is copy the text, the design or the code into a competing offering, republish substantial parts of them as your own work, strip or misstate their origin, or use anything here to send unsolicited commercial messages.
The fee schedule and the sample deal room
These are different, and the terms for them are stricter, because they are the work itself rather than a description of it.
They open only to a named person at a firm Old Soldier has approved. That approval is a limited, personal and revocable permission to look at them while you consider an engagement. It is not a license and it transfers nothing.
You may share the fee schedule, worked examples and sample materials with your outside professional advisers solely to evaluate an engagement, subject to the same confidentiality and non-reuse restrictions. Otherwise, do not copy, republish, forward or redistribute them outside your firm. Never share login credentials or access links; advisers needing direct access must be separately approved. Do not use the materials, design, layout, screens, scoring approach, wording or code to build, specify, price or improve a competing or comparable service, whether your own or a third party's. Do not put any of it into a tool that trains on what it is given. Screenshots and exports follow the same restrictions.
Access can be withdrawn at any time and for any reason, and these restrictions continue to apply after it is.
Information you submit
Submitting the unlock form or emailing us does not create a client relationship and does not put us under any obligation of confidentiality with respect to what you send. Do not send confidential information before an engagement or an NDA is in place. Handling of what you do send is described in the privacy notice.
Links
Links to other sites, including the scheduling page and third-party sources, are provided for convenience. Old Soldier does not control them and is not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
Availability and changes
The site is provided as-is, without warranty, and may be changed or taken down at any time. Material changes to these terms are reflected in the date below.
Governing law
Montana law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any engagement agreement's own venue and governing-law clause controls for that engagement.
